Mission
The Asian Philosophy of Science Association (APSA) is a formal association, officially registered in Hong Kong, to advance the reserach and teaching in philosophy of science in Asia.
- Promote the dialogue and collaboration between philosophers of science in Asia;
- Bring together philosophers of science (especially in the younger generation) in Asia to contribute to world-leading research and teaching in the philosophy of science;
- Offer a visible platform to encourage the communication between philosophers of science in Asia and other parts of the world.

Please submit a 500-word abstract for blind review by 2 April 2025. Note that only APSA paid members are eligible to present in the APSA Cognate Session at EPSA25 after acceptance.
Call for Host Institutions: APSA26
The Asian Philosophy of Science Association (APSA) is planning to convene its first conference in 2026 (https://www.philsciasia.org/). APSA is seeking a host institution for this conference. To be considered for hosting APSA26, please send a full Expression of Interest by June 15, 2025, to the Chair of APSA’s Outreach Committee, Eugene Y. S. Chua (eugene.chuays@ntu.edu.sg), under the subject header "Expression of Interest to Host APSA26".
APSA expects at least 100-200 participants at the 2026 conference, to take place during the last week of July 2026. The Outreach Committee intends to select a host institution by July 1, 2025, and to circulate a call for papers soon after. The Outreach Committee will be responsible for circulating the call for papers, selecting speakers, and organising the program. The Local Organising Committee will be responsible for all local logistical matters.
An Expression of Interest must contain the following elements:
- A description of the venue, providing evidence that it is suitable for holding a conference of at least 100 participants and that it is supplied with presentation equipment.
- A proposed Chair of the Local Organising Committee (LOC), and other members of the LOC. Please include CVs of the LOC Chair and other LOC members.
- A description of the hosting institution (the primary organisation(s) of the LOC members).
- Information about the city and state.
- A description of the accessibility of the venue. This should address transportation and visa constraints, particularly for citizens of other Asian states.
- Information about a range of accommodation options near the venue.
- Details of possible social events, such as an opening reception and a conference banquet.
- Information about local attractions.
- A budget.
- An official letter of support from the host institution.
- Letters of material support, if any, from local convention bureaus, universities, or governmental agencies.
